Barnsley vs Reading

Barnsley

David Fox is set to make his home debut for the Tykes.
Paddy McCourt and Dale Jennings are battling for a spot on the wing.
Peter Ramage could return to the squad, but is likely to be on the bench.

Reading

Billy Sharp could make his Royals debut, but more than likely that will be from the bench.
Jem Karacan is out until the new year.
Mikele Leigertwood and Jason Roberts are closing in on a return from long term injuries.
  • Reading have been drawing at half time and winning at full time in their last 4 away matches against Barnsley in all competitions.

  • Reading have won their last 4 away matches against Barnsley in all competitions.
  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Barnsley's last 4 home games in Championship.
  • Reading have won their last 3 matches in Championship
  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Reading's last 6 games in Championship.
  • Barnsley now sit bottom of the Championship with an inferior goal difference and a leaky defence.
  • The Tykes have added some Premier League loanees to their squad, but opponents Reading are littered with them.
  • The Royals pushed their way into the play off places with a decent home win over Birmingham on Saturday and could now be considered genuine promotion hopefuls.
  • The strength in depth Nigel Akdins has available to him could play a big part, especially for these midweek clashes.

Barnsley without: Peter Ramage
Reading without: Jem Karacan; Jason Roberts; Mikele Leigertwood

Betting option: 1x2

Steaua - Chelsea

This is a must win match for Chelsea. It's still early for conclusions, but with Premiership so interesting this year, it's crucial for Chelsea to finish job early in CL group. They started with home defeat against Basel 1-2. Now they meet very inexperienced squad in Bucharest. Only two Steaua players played in CL prior to this season. On the other hand, Chelsea squad is full of experienced squads and I am sure that they will bounce back immidiately after loss to Basel in first round.

Steaua is undefeated in Romania with 6 wins out of 7 matches. They scored 19 goals which averages almost 3 per match! Chelsea has only 11 pts in 6 matches. They are still trying to understand what Mourinho wants from them, season is long, so in Premiership they have time to fix things, in CL they ust start fixing it in this match.

Steaua coach has full squad at his disposal. He rested all his first team players in Cup match last Thursday. Mourinho can't count on Van Ginkel, who suffered very bad injury and will be unavailable 'till march. Ramires is back after serving a one match ban for red card in Uefa Super Cup final against Bayern M.
With full squad at his disposal, Mourinho must find a way to win this match or they could find themselves in real trouble. With armoury he has, I am sure that Mourinho and the Blues will be the winners of this match.

Steaua without: Pintili; Tanase; Stefan Nikolic; Alexandru Chipciu.
Chelsea without: Marco van Ginkel; Eden Hazard; Kevin de Bruyne; Michael Essien.

Betting option: 1x2
Pick: Chelsea

Odds: 1.85

Belgium II

Eendracht Aalst - Visé

An important game for Aalst! Only 14th with 7 points out of 7 games. This is not the place Aalst should be on the table. If they lose this match I think their coach is in big problems. On their site I also read that this is the time for a solid victory and that they will fight for every meter. At the other site Visé isn't a good team. 17th on the table with only 4 points out of 8 games. Also Visé played a mid-week game on wednesday against 1th division team Leuven wich they lost with 0-2.

Aalst: out are Martin (mid 7/0 suspended), Van Steenbrugghe (mid 1/0) and Kabeya (def 1/0). Weydisch (mid 1/0) is doubtfull. Back after injurie are Glouftsis (att 6/0) and Skohdra (mid 6/0).
Visé: out are Angiulli (def 0/0), La Rocca (def 3/0), Dethier (mid 3/0) and Nicolay (att 3/0).

Betting option: 1x2
Pick: Aalst

Odds: 2.05

 Finland Ykkonen

AC Kajaani vs JIPPO

JIPPO has improved their performances lately taking 2 convincing wins against strong Haka and Ilves. i see the motivation and the teammorale has found the right level on final steps on this season. Relegation zone is dangerously near and there is no other options than to win the match against AC Kajaani.

AC Kajaani has already confirmed their relegation to lower level and i don't see them to have bigger motivation here to take this. They have struggled lately and overall their performances on finnish ykkönen on this season has been all the way of struggling. Table standings tells the story.
Last time they played against each other the scoreboard was 1-1. I don't see it has value at this point of the season and visitors has a bigger motivation to take this. Jippo is going to get few of their important players as keymidfielder Tarmo Koivuranta is coming back after suspension and Petteri Rönkkö is coming back for same reason. Jens Harju is coming back from minor injury. Overall away win looks a good pick for me and odds are strange high as we look up the recent performances of both sides.

Betting option: 1x2
Pick: JIPPO

Odds: 1.85

Missing Players
Flamengo: Diego Silva.
Criciuma: Ivo; Tiago Dutra; Cassiano; Sueliton; João Vitor; Rodrigo Galatto.

Flamengo:
- Caretaker coach Jayme de Almeida could make a couple of changes to the side that drew with Botafogo in the Brazilian Cup.
- Elias and Víctor Cáceres will both be hoping to return in midfield.
- But the flexible Luiz Antônio may keep his place.

 Criciuma:
- Sílvio will be without midfielder João Vítor, who is suspended.
- Morais and Daniel Carvalho could form a creative pairing behind the strikers.
- Tony will continue at right-back in the absence of the injured Sueliton.

  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Criciuma's last 6 away games in Brasileirão.
  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Flamengo's last 3 home games in Brasileirão.
  •  Flamengo have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 home matches in Brasileirão.
  • Criciuma have failed to win their last 6 matches in Brasileirão.

- Teetering above the relegation zone, Flamengo will hope that their players react well to a change of management.

- The post-Mano Menezes era has started with two draws: a disappointing 0-0 against Náutico and a more promising 1-1 with Botafogo.
- Criciúma would overtake the Rubro-Negro with a victory here.
