Perovic(att 29/3) also left team. Cukaricki is new promoted team in Jelen SuperLiga. In this league most of teams have financial problems but Cukaricki is one of those who are stable! Laval vs Caen

 

Laval lost at home against Nimes for the first round of French League Cup with the score of 0:1, in a game where they showed again the same weaknesses like the first game for the league away to Metz. They were totally harmless in the attack and with several problems at homogeneity factor after the big changes to their roster during summer.

There is already lot of criticism for their performances to the first two official matches, about the fact that they still did not scored any goals and even did not created the conditions to achieve goals. Just a reminder that during summer they reduced their budget to the half, their roster is now consist only of 21 players and they will need time to adapt to the new roles. Moreover, they will miss three valuable players today. Caen won easily at home against Metz for the first round of French League Cup with the score of 2:0. Caen finished the game in the first half hour and on the other hand Metz came down with a lot of changes to their main eleven, showing clearly that they have given top priority in the league.
Caen started the season with the best way, two wins in two official matches, as they won against Dijon 3:1 to the first game of the league. Nothing else than direct promotion to Ligue 1 is their target this season, and till now they showed some excellent and very well organized football. Good squad news for Caen ahead of tonight’s game, as Algerian Laurent Agouazi and top scorer Mathieu Duhamel are both back to the main eleven, while no other problems reported.

Roda JC - Cambuur

Roda JC sold their topscorer Malki, but they reïnforced their midfield on one position (defensive midfielder Kali) and their defence on three positions. Against champions Ajax they had a difficult start of the season, but in the second half Roda JC did create some chances and even missed a penalty-kick. Left midfielder and captain Fledderus returns after suspension, with his fighting spirit, dangerous free kicks and corner kicks he is a very important player for Roda JC. Striker Demouge is back on the bench, he is a good option when Roda JC need to force a decision (when drawing or trailing late in the game).
Newly promoted Cambuur got a point out of there first match on their own artificial pitch against NAC Breda (0-0). According to the NAC players Cambuur had a lot of advantage on the dry pitch (which they are used to play on), the heat made it very difficult to play on. Cambuur had difficulty to create chances, but it was a good result seeing they could hardly afford adding any Eredivisie worthy players to the squad. The most experienced player is Lukoki (mostly substitute at Ajax), he will start this match in stead of Schokker.
Last season Roda JC had a good home record, only losing to Feyenoord and Ajax. The home team’s squad has improved and expectations are that Roda will do a lot better this season. It was a big surprise Cambuur managed to get promoted and with current squad it will be a miracle if they are able to escape relegation.

Malmo v Swansea

I think the difference is huge here. And though Swansea is not in competitive rhytm they are not far from the first Premiere league game against ManU on the 17`th. So this is a perfect time to fine tune the squad that is already playing efficient, maybe lacking some pace. They dominated the match against Malmo and 4:0 is a real score. Maybe it would have been different if Malmo were given a penalty but they wouldn`t have deserved it. They haven`t had a shot on goal and couldn`t respond to the quick one-two passing from the hosts. The new player Bony has already scored 2 goals for Swansea and I think he will be fantastic with Michu who also scored one. This is something new for Swansea but Laudrup wants the same approach in this game also and a win. They need to forget the score from the leg and that will be crucial to beat the hosts. I am sorry for Malmo but they are no match even at home.The hosts are missing Thern Jr..  (Hamstring), Simon Kroon (ill), Dardan Rexhepi (hamstring) and Ivo Pekalski (back / hamstring). The guests are in full lineup besides Shelvey who is ill and Hernandes who is injured.

PSV were impressive in the first leg and the scoreline should have been something higher. Ironically, they got the two goals in the half they played lesser and where it was thought Wargem’s seeming possession would bring something, they could only pay 2 goals for it.
Zulte is playing in their rivals Anderlechts stadium as their own stadium is not good enough for Champion’s League standard. Waregem could only peep Kortrijk this weekend with a goal very late in the match.
PSV have very good players with fast and attacking football. They continued their impressive run over Ado Den Haag in the weekend and were already 3 goals up by 33 minutes; host could however only reduce the deficit courtesy goals scored at the odd minutes of the match (44’ and 94’). PSV played impressive throughout but could not increase their goal tally in the other half.
If PSV will play with attention their normal game, they shouldn’t have any problem today!

Ajax Reserves - Telstar

Tonight the clash between the reserves of Ajax (youth squad) and Telstar. This year the youth squads of PSV, Ajax, Twente and amateur club Achilles '29 added to the 2nd division of the Netherlands. Youth squad of Ajax will be filled with some players of Ajax 1. From what i know Jasper Cillessen (3rd goalkeeper in Dutch National team) and Danny Hoessen (enough quality to be a good striker in the first division) will start. They also have Eyong Enoh, in his first seasons a regular first team player and last year he got on loan to Fulham. They also got some real talented youngsters in their team. In the Dutch cup they have shown last few years that they can easily beat this kinda teams.
Telstar is nothing special. Their preparation wasnt impressive after all. They lost 0-7 from Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona from Israel.. Last year they ended 14th and i predict the same this year. The game will be played in the main stadium of Ajax, what will mayb bring some little pressure to the Telstar players, since they have never played in such a big stadium.
I can even see this go with an handicap, but i play safe and just go for a normal win for the reserves of Ajax!

Viitorul vs. Dinamo

Viitorul will face Dinamo in the 3^rd round of the Romanian Liga 1.
Dinamo after a very bad match at Timisoara, won last game played at home against Vaslui, 2-0. They looked very well, played good, they are on the right track with Gigi Multescu as a coach, the team begins to have team chemistry, so I can say that they are improving.
The same thing I can say about Viitorul, they improved after the defeat against Astra, play well at Rapid and diserved to win that match. Still, many players left the club this summer, the team is quite new and so far, they have a lack of team chemistry, so they need some time in order to brong their game together.
Because of this, I see Dinamo as favourites here, huge favourites actually, at quality they are above Viitorul and because the fact that they improved more then Viitorul since the first match of the season of both teams, I believe in an away victory here.
 
Also, I must add the fact that I have high suspicions that the last match, in the 33^rd round played last season was a fixed one. Reasons ? Well, with that victory Viitorul secured themselves the survival in the first league. Now, Dinamo have the European places as main goal this season, so they are in a need of points right now more than Viitorul. Because of this, I have faith to believe in a victory of the “red dogs”.

As you can see, the 2^nd and 3^rd goal scored by Viitorul were scored very easy.

And it started, the Dutch Eerste Divisie.  Reserve team of Twente's is coming in a strong composition. Specifically, PSV, Ajax and Twente have the ability to send players from first team to play for a second team. Today will appear: Tim Breukers (rb, 13 games last season for Twente), Nicky Kuiper (was on loan at Panathinaikos), Niels Röseler (df. 26/1 on a loan in Venlo), Pelupessy (3/0 Twente) , Hölscher (16/0 Twente), Zschusschen (6/0 Twente) and Cas Peters (30/4 GA Eagles). Standards for the Dutch Ereedivisie are low and Jong FC Twente with these players are stronger than FC Ossa, and as I read .. JONG Twente does not want to fight for survival, and will always have some players from the first team whenever possible to help younger colleagues. Otherwise, after the Regulation B team is a team can not qualify for first league, and predictions are that  Oss and Jong Twente will finish the season in the middle of the table, just above Twente, Oss slightly below.

Luzern vs. Sion

I wrote a couple of times about the situation of Sion in the ending of the last season.
Many players left the club, including Genaro Gattuso, who was also a player and the coach. They played all their matches with youngster, won only one match, against Zurich's second team in the last  match of the season.
Sion had many troubles in the last years, they were deducted 30 points two seasons ago because they appealed for something to be wrong against their European game against Celtic, lost the trail, so they supported the consequences.
They brought some players this summer, but they aren't great. The greatest one is Ovidiu Herea, former Rapid Bucuresti player. He's been handed from the first match the number 10, so that says a lot to me about Sion's current squad. It's crap, no team chemistry.
Luzern on the other hand is a medium team, plays well at home, and wins their majority of matches, especially against the teams that fight for relegation. And this season, Sion is clearly a main candidate for relegation.
 
I see an easy home win here, by the fact that Luzern is playing at home and because of Sion's problems,  they should win this match.

Corona Brasov vs. Astra Giurgiu

Really high odds for such a match ! A X-mas gift in August in my opinion to be honest.
Although only two matches have passed, I can say that Corona is currently the weakest team from the Romanian first league. I've watched both of their games, againt Otelul and Ceahlaul. Conclusions ? Their attack is very weak, they rely on one man : Ioan Coman. I know this guy very well. He played for my former local team, Vointa Sibiu two years ago for half a season. He isn't a goal scorer, he's more likely a center, a man who can drag players with him in order for someone to shoot the ball in the net. Ok, sound exciting. The main problem is that Corona doesn't has a man who can shoot the ball in the net.
Also, they don't have a very solid defence, against Otelul and Ceahlaul, they really made some blunders that cost them.


Astra are in a very good form. I waited to post this pick because of their match in Europa League against Trencin. 3-1 victory and the tickets for the play-off are very close. Because of this victory, they can focus on this match and gain some easy 3 points. Tembo, Fatai and Budescu, their main firepower in attack are in a great form, and in my opinion it will be very easy for them to score against the weakest team in the league. So, in conclusion, an away victory is very likely the happen here, I have really high expectations from this match, especially from Astra.

In the summer transfer period FC Walsall lost players like Connor Taylor, Jamie Paterson, George Bowerman, Aaron Williams, Febian Brandy, Richard Taundry, Jake Jones and Will Grigg. Between this players Febian Brandy and Will Grigg are the most important two. Without this two players I don't think that FC Walsall will score more goals than last year. FC Walsall transfered 3 players and 3 (young) players came from the FC Walsall II team.
Tranmere Rovers finished last year the league with 67 POiNTS at 11th place. Won 19 - Lose 17 - Draw 10. Scored 58 and Concede 48 goals. Tranmere Rovers started brilliant to the season. But in the last 17 rounds we saw a misserable performance from Tranmere Rovers. Because of the injuries Tranmere Rovers losed many players in the last 3rd part of the season. They managed only to win 3 GAMES and draw 2 GAMES in the last 17 matches.
In the transfer period Tranmere Rovers lost with Zoumana Bakayogo another 4 players. But only Zoumana Bakayogo is a very important lose. Evan Horwood had been transfered in his place. With Akpo Sodje, Stephen Foster and Ryan Lowe Tranmere Rovers made 3 very good transfers. Also James Rowe came from Forest Green Rovers.
Last the games between the two sides ended with the 0-0 and 2-0 score. In the last game FC Walsall won 2-0 with Grigg and Westcarr goals. But we should not forget that FC Walsall beat Tranmere Rovers in the last 3rd of the league when Tranmere Rovers were missing lots of players and played really bad.
The early average odds for this game are 2.07 - 3.28 - 3.31 (29.07.2013). I don't think that there are so much difference. For me FC Walsall is a weaker team than last without Febian Brandy and Will Grigg. On the other side Tranmere Rovers is stronger than last year with the new transfers. I am expecting Tranmere Rovers to get point or points here.

Quality and form on home side, home ground is also advantage for Kalmar because they are using natural grass while Syrianska is using artificall grass.

    In this match also two teams with different beginnings this season face each other. St. Polten has two win and six point and Lustenau just one point after two games.

St Polten one of the candidates to win the title this year made a great start with the 4-0 vs Kapfenberg were they dominated the game and won deserved with four goals advantage. In the second game they had to face Mattersburg, who also are in the circle of teams who can win the league this season. St Polten showed something, what last season was rarely to see: the won away. The away team had a good start, created good chances and was always dangerous after freekicks and corners. After the HT they scored the 1-0. In the last 15 minutes Mattersburg got stronger, but couldn´t score the goal to equalize and so St Polten gained three points which they really deseved in this game.
Last year Lustenau seemed to be the titlewinner before winterbreak, but in spring they played such a bad season and their were a lot of troubles and problems. Now everybody said, new season, new luck, but it is like the crisis continues, after just one point against Parndorf and a unlucky loss against Hartberg.
This game against Hartberg was really curious. In first half Lustenau was better and had many chances, but also made mistakes in the defense which weren´t used by Hartberg. After the htbreak Lustenau had two penalties didn´t score one of them and also after this, with two man more on the pitch Lustenau didn´t score and so in stoppage time Hartberg was really lucky and scored the 0-1 where Lustenau defense made a really bad performance again.
All in all St Polten made the better start and Lustenau is continuing last years bad second half .

Niort - Troyes

Niort survived in league but they lost important midfield creator Gastien + 2 solid defensive midfielders Ricaud and Durand. They brougt nobody to replace them. Defence is their strongest line. Troyes is relegated from first league but they kept almost all key players. Only important missing is gk Thuram. In defence they made couple good changes. Midfield is strong line of team and they brougt Lacour from Evian. In attack they have good talent Jean but he will miss this match, but that won't be big problem because they have Gimbert who scored 45 goals in this league for his carrear.  Good value odds, Troyes is much stronger team .
