Helmond - MaastrichtTwo underperforming teams face eachother here. Although I think there is a difference in the way both teams play. Helmond has looked poor for weeks now and even when they won their games against weak opponents their play was really crappy great parts of those games. Mvv also lost points against some weaker side but their play was better imo, where Helmond was a bit lucky sometimes, Maastricht was unlucky. Last week finally won their game at home against de Graafschap. There is only 1 points difference between teams at the moment.
Helmond as I said with problems in their play. They play crappy for a longer time now and I dont see them getting better. They have problems with absences.
Last match again they got 2 red cards which caused two new suspensions. Brouwers (17/8), van Steen (18/0 goalie), Nieskens (16/3) are suspended. van Steen's suspension means 3rd! goalie Kosiorowski will be in the goal. Offcourse Helmond also has their longer absences still. During this week there were also some players with troubles that are doubtfull now, Koot (15/3), Koc (18/8) and Elbers (16/3).
So if they are absent they dont have an offence anymore. An under also might be worth the shot if so. So weak Helmond is already playing very badly and has new troubles again for sure, if doubtfull players are out (or some of them) their problem grows.
Maastricht had a good win over de Graafschap last week. Their play is not that bad and offence looks pretty fresh imo. Sema is doing his thing lately. Schreurs is getting better after his injury and Veldmate is getting better. Last season Schreurs and Veldmate were a very good couple. Rutjes will take place on the bench. Absent is La Rosa (5/0) which got injured at the training. For the rest there should be no surprises about absences.
So all in all the home team with troubles here. There play is worse than their standing suggests. They even have bigger missings now and 3rd goalie will be on the goal. With some bad luck they might be without full offensive line. Mvv got a bit better play imo and has no important absences got luck!
