Udinese vs Genoa

Udinese and Genoa are level on points ahead of their meeting at Stadio Communale Friuli on Tuesday night. Both sides will be looking to start a new winning run, but it remains to be seen which team will emerge triumphant.
After a 4-2 aggregate defeat to Liberec in the Europa League play-offs, Zebrette are fully focused on the Serie A. Nonetheless, Stadio Communale Friuli outfit have been having their ups and downs at the start of the new domestic campaign. Zebrette have recorded two defeats, one draw and one victory this season and the teamwill be looking to improve on their record when they face Genoa in midweek match. Udinese chiefs have not made too many changes to the squad during the summer transfer window, but the team are facing difficulties at the back as they have already conceded six goals this term. Experienced striker Antonio Di Natale has netted no more than one goal this term and the fans are hoping for more from their favourite. With Genoa next, Udinese are certainly capable of starting a new winning streak in front of home fans. Francesco Guidolinˈs men have yet to be defeated at home ground this season as they defeated Parma 3-1 and shared the spoils with Bologna (1-1) at their Stadio Communale Friuli.

Serbian goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic is sidelined with injury, whereas Domizzi also misses the clash through injury. Pinzi is a major doubt and he will be assessed on the match day.

Genoa totally outplayed bitter rivals Sampdoria in the Derby della Laterna, but the team failed to manufacture yet another brilliant display at the weekend as they played out a goalless draw with Livorno at their Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Rossoblu started the match slowly, but they came out of their shells after the break. However, the lack of motivation after the Derby was evident and the team failed to find the net in the clash against the newcomers. The team must re-learn how to play attack-minded football with confidence and they will be looking to return to the winning ways on Tuesday night against Udinese. Genoa have also recorded just one victory this season and it seems as if Rossoblu will fight for Serie A survival for yet another term. Last season Fabio Liveraniˈs men were more than fortunate to avoid relegation to the Serie B. Taking everything into account, the visitors will be more than satisfied with a point from the match against Udinese.

Marchese and Manfredini are both sidelined for the match against Udinese through suspension. Antonelli and Sturaro miss out through injury.

Udinese are considered one of the best hosts in the Serie A. Zebrette are certainly superior to their next rivals Genoa, who will be severely-weakened on Tuesday night, therefore, there is a big value in betting on the hosts this time out. This is a very important encounter for Francesco Guidolinˈs as they are eager to return to the top of the standings, where they belong.
