South Korea v Croatia/ Friendly
It is time for payback after Korea lost to Croatia 4:0 half a year ago on a neutral ground in England. The game is played in Korea and the hosts will be better prepared as they played a friendly few days ago and beat Haiti 4:1 while Croatia had a tough match against Serbia on Friday and had to travel across the world.Korea already qualified for the World cup but were not happy with the last results so they changed the coach. I hope something similar happens to Croatia and soon. I have hopes for such scenario as today 8 players that played poorly against Serbia didn`t come to Korea.
Those are :“Mario Mandžukić, Josip Šimunić, Stipe Pletikosa, Luka Modrića, Vedran Ćorluka, Ognjen Vukojević, Ivica Olić, Mateo Kovačić and Ante Rebić.“ Some players from the domestic league were called for this match:“ Leon Benko, Josip Pivaric, Marin Tomasov, Antonio Jezina.“
Korea has a mix of internationals and the local talent in their squad and it should be enough to beat this substandard Croatia and technically a second team.
Koreans have in their squad: Chang-Soo Kim(Kashiwa), Joo-Ho Park(Mainz), Young-Gwon Kim(Guangzhou), Jeong-Ho Hong(Augsburg), Keun-Ho Lee(Sangju), Heung-Min Son(Leverkusen), Dong-Won Ji(Sunderland), Chung-Yong Lee(Bolton), Ja-Cheol Koo(Wolfsburg), Bo-Kyung Kim(Cardiff).
This game actually reminds of a friendly in 2007 when we also sent a second string team after the WQE and we lost easily 2:0. With the extra motivation from the hosts and a strong lineup from them this must be a home win.
Pick: South Korea
