England League one
Crawley Town - Port Vale
Crawley have been enjoying nice runs of football since their 2-0 away win over Peterborough. They particularly shoots very well in front of goals, although haven't had much results to show for it in terms of number of goals as they've only scored one goal per match in their last 5 matches overall. At home (especially of recent), they are disciplined at the back and rarely allows goal.Good news for Crawley is that they welcome an inconsistent traveller and on top of that is the return of team's highest goal-scorer Billy Clarke (4 goals) whom the team can rely on to put an end to the goal-shyness. James Hurst also missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Bradford through suspension and is set to return at right-back.
Boss Richie Barker should therefore have a full squad at his disposal having only been able to name six substitutes at the weekend. Port Vale's inconsistency so far is largely due to weak performance of their key man away from home; apart from Port Vale been goal-shy on travel; Janeson Williams scoring two of their 6 away goals, rest has been scored by different players as Tom Pope (3 goals) is struggling to shoulder the attack line. Port Vale travel without the suspended Daniel Jones but fellow defender Carl Dickinson will come back into the reckoning after his ban while Jordan Hugill is recalled from his loan spell at Conference side Gateshead, where he scored five goals during his month-long stay.
Crawley are playing some good football especially in front of their home fans and easy or hard should be able to get a Port Vale who are in a poor run of results.
